Sunday night I emailed Dr. Fearon. I sent him several pictures of Robby. I explained what the x-ray had revealed and was seeking his opinion. Within 2 hours (10pm on a SUNDAY night), he emailed me back. It was at that time I had an official diagnosis - an actual name for this "suture" which had "prematurely fused" - moderate trigonocephaly from metopic synostosis. There it was. He told me that Robby would need to have a corrective operation and that we had plenty of time to do our research. He offered to help whether it be with treating Robby himself, offering information, answering questions and/or leading us to someone local.
